ISIOMA IDIGBE - ASSOCIATE

Isioma Idigbe holds a Bachelors of Law (Hons) degree from the Law School at the University of Kent, Canterbury, United Kingdom. She is the founder and 1st President of the University of Kent Nigerian Law Society as well as the recipient of the Special Award for Kent Law School Student Community Building. She holds a certificate in Entertainment Law from the Osgoode Hall Law School at the York University Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She has also been called to the Nigerian Bar.

As an associate at PUNUKA Attorneys and Solicitors, where she heads the firms Media and Entertainment Department, she has pioneered and hosted extensive Media and Entertainment Law training sessions in Nigeria. She has been involved with negotiating contracts for clients in the music and film industries and has also been involved in intellectual property litigations arising in this practice area. She led the team in assisting one of the major multinational music companies in setting up their Nigeria business and preparing and ultimately presenting a regulatory framework for the Nigerian Film and Television industries to the Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC), amongst other notable transactions and activities. She attends a lot of international media and entertainment law conferences around the world and regularly speaks on panels at local conferences and forums in Nigeria dealing with media and Entertainment business. Isioma also has some in house experience working with a first-class multinational music group whilst on secondment with them.
