Onyeka obtained his LL.B from the University of Benin in 2010, from where he proceeded to the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Bar in 2012 with a Second Class (Upper Division). Onyeka is a versatile commercial lawyer, with a rare analytical mind and ability to proffer solutions to complex and knotty situations. His core areas are Arbitration, Commercial Law, International Human Right Law, as well as Corporate Law.

In 2012, Onyeka did his National Youth Service at the Ministry of Justice, Akure, Ondo State. While there, he was actively involved in litigation whilst also working directly with the Deputy Director of Public Prosecution at the Ministry of Justice, Ondo State. Upon conclusion of his National service, Onyeka became fully involved in active legal practice, during which time he developed his legal skills with countless appearances at High Courts and the Court of Appeal.
